{ Real Party } - Lego Inspired Party With A Girly Twist...
My little princess turned four years old this year (OMG ...time sure flies) and was back and forth with having a Lalaloopsy or Lego inspired party. I was excited to create something unique for any one of those themes and I DID NOT persuade her in any way to choose one theme over the other - I just sat back and listened to her ideas and finally she got on board with the Lego inspired theme.
This year we decided we were going to definitely stay within budget for her celebration and not go banannas and over the top for a preschool party ... I reminded myself she is four and little things like favor bags filled with candy and frosted cupcakes are the things that make her happy : )
I searched the web high and low for budget friendly party ideas and my main resource I returned to time after time was Pinterest. I wanted my daughter to feel special on her birthday, so I contacted Debra with Titi's Tutu's to create an adorable custom tutu for her utilizing the colors fuschia, yellow, blue, and purple. I created an iron-transfer design for her t-shirt to match her tutu and everything began to fall into place.

I love this picture ... she was so excited and was beaming with joy/happiness she is officially a "BIG" girl : )
I created this banner and had it printed out at Staples for $4.00
Here is a full shot of the dessert table... Cookies, Favor Bags filled with candy, Cupcakes, and Hershey Bars
+ Cookies - Purchased 2 dozen from Walmart $2.98 each
+ Favor Bags - Purchased 3 Dozen (mini bags) from Michael's on sale for $0.75 each
***Note: The circles on the bags were punched out using a 2 inch circle hole punch +250 plus circles (attached with double sided tape) I found this idea on Pinterest.
+ Cupcakes - Purchased 3 dozen from Walmart $6.00 each
+ Cupcake Toppers - Created by me $0.00
+ Hershey Bars/Wrappers - Purchased Hershey Bars from Walmart and created the Wrappers myself
I used 2 cupcake stands to hold the cookies ... I purchased these stands last year around Valentine's Day from Walmart for only $3.00 each ... Instead of inserting Cupcakes I decided to use Cookies : )
+ Hangtags for Cookies - were created by me $0.00
These cute little tables (at my daughter's daycare) were perfect for my decor ...
+ Plates - Purchased 2 packs at the Dollar Tree for $1.00 each
+ Cups - Purchased 2 packs at the Dollar Tree for $1.00 each
+ Plasticware - Purchased 2 packs at the Dollar Tree for $1.00 each
+ Napkins - Purchased 4 packs (pink, baby blue, purple, and yellow) at the Dollar Tree for $1.00 each
+ Mini Pringles Containers - Purchased 2 Boxes (of 18) at Walmart $3.98 each
I hand drew the girl/boy lego minifigure face on each plate ... I got this idea from Pinterest as well. Initially I was looking for the "square" plates for a more authentic look I couldn't find them - so, I went with the circular plates instead.
I created stickers to place on each cup $0.00... I thought it was cute that the babies at daycare had a preference of which lego character was on their cup - Yes! The little ones do pay close attention to detail...
