It Don't Mean A Thing...If You Ain't Got That Drink!
Have you ever noticed
that Party/Event Planners seem to never put an emphasis on the
drinks? Think about it… how many times have you attended an affair
and you walk into the venue and your mouth drops in awe of all the beauty and
creativity. You marvel at the table décor and extravagant centerpieces.
The Dessert and Candy Buffet are color coordinated and well selected to
compliment the theme of the function, and even the food choices on the menu have
been handpicked to execute the vision of the special occasion. You’re
surrounded by glitz and glamour, then a Caterer walks up to you and asks, “Do
you want Water or Ice tea?” in your conventional glass cup ... really! Today’s blog post is
about incorporating cool, fun, innovative, and inexpensive drink ideas into your
next event.
Kool-Aid Ice Cubes
Go to your local grocery store and pick up some of your favorite flavor Kool-Aid packages, purchase different flavors for color dimension or choose one flavor/color if you are planning a color theme event. Make the Kool-Aid just as you would if you were making it for your family. Instead of leaving it in a pitcher for serving; pour it in ice cube trays and freeze. When the cubes are frozen place them in a transparent cup or Mason Jar and pour any clear beverage of your choice over the cubes (my family uses Sprite). Not only will this make your drinks POP… but as the colorful Ice cubes melt watch how your drink change colors, and it taste great!
