#EDGirlPower2013 Back to School Bash First Class! These little girls were so adorable, fun, energetic, positive, and so full of life. From 11:00am-3:00pm all you could hear is giggles and footsteps as the girls went from station to station getting pampered and being told they were beautiful. The volunteers did a great job with connecting with the girls in each station and boosting their self-confidence.
I love this picture (below)! Talia (with Talia Felicia Events + Design) was warming the girls up with a fun ice breaker - dancing! They were too tickled and watched in amazement as Talia broke it down for them with her "Old School" moves!
The little ones (4-8 year olds) really enjoyed themselves ... Makeup, Tutu's, Gumball Necklaces, and painted Nails would be any girls dream - right? They were just too cute and some became instant "diva's" when they were transformed!
I believe Miss Teen Polk Latina 2013 was the highlight of the event for the girls, being able to connect with someone close in age and hear her story of triumph. Deborah talked with the girls about loving themselves, being confident, choosing the right friends, and accepting themselves for who they are. She also shared her story on how she used to be teased in school (being called ugly) and turned that negative situation into something positive. We (as parents) all enjoyed Deborah's story and the inspiration she sprinkled all over the room on our little ones - to them she was Cinderella and they couldn't keep their eyes off of her : )
I tried my best to keep this post short and sweet, if you're interested in reading/learning a little more about the background of this event please visit the first post - here -
