Currently, I am working on tweaking the "Coco Chanel" inspired party collection. This collection was first created in 2011, and has been screaming for a makeover! Finally, I've set aside some time to work on getting new and fresh designs into the shop, so far I have five NEW Invitation designs. I am hopeful everything will be added to the shop by the end of the week. Here's a preview of the new Invitation designs:

Most recently I had the opportunity to work with Wilma of (Wilma D. Bowtique) on her son's 7th Birthday Party. Wilma is a repeat Eccentric Designs customer... you may remember the package I worked on for her son last year - themed "DJ Miah ". This year the theme of Jeremiah's celebration was "Little Man". Wilma said, since Jeremiah was born herself and her husband have always affectionately referred to him as their "Little Man" - she felt it was only appropriate to throw him a Little Man/Mustache Bash this year. It's always a pleasure working with Wilma ... she is very detail oriented and knows exactly what she wants ... she picked her color scheme and provided me with ideas for her son's party. Together we worked our magic and came up with the most bright/colorful fun Little Man/Mustache Bash ever!

Maybe it has everything to do with Summer...but ... I have been getting a lot of requests about Carnival or Circus Invitations for child(ren) parties and Baby Showers. Thanks to Google (yippy!) potential clients have been running into this post I posted in March regarding a few stationery items I created freelance for a Carnival Party. I've finally gotten around to creating a Invitation + matching Thank You Note which is now available in my shop. I am slowly building upon this collection. Please feel free to drop me a note if there is something you're looking for or would like to see in this collection. The colors in this collection are true to the Carnival theme and will work well with any girl/boy celebration (i.e. Birthday Party, Baby Shower, etc).

I recently created a Fourth of July inspired Invitation for my Dad (or "Pops" as I like to affectionately refer to him). His actual birthday is on July 4th, which is very fitting for his fire cracker, wild, and crazy outlook on life. He is the type of person (or has the personality) you either "love him" or "hate him". From first glance if you don't know him or his genuine heart he may seem obnoxious and/or abrasive ... but really he is the most sweetest person in the world! I certainly do not want to sound cliche but, he will give you the shirt off his back. He really is a stand up guy and would do any and everything for anyone if he knew it was something he/she needed that would benefit/make his/her life easier.

This weekend I had the opportunity to create a couple of cute stationery designs for a "Paris" themed Baby Shower. I've been wanting to design something "Parisian" for a very long time and was more than happy to assist creating the items below - I'm seriously considering building on this theme and making it a full collection - I guess time will tell : )

So let's jump right into it...

Supplies Needed:

+ Birthday Hat Template
+ Scissors
+ Craft Knife
+ Trimmer
+ Ruler
+ 12X12 Construction Paper
+ Double Sided Sticky Tape or Glue
+ 2" Hole Punch

STEP ONE: Cut out your Birthday Hat designs...
